Kobe Sinks 40 for the 100th Time! Lakers Beat Pistons 106-93

When the groin gets strained…Kobe gets going! This Lakers star wasn’t going to let a simple injury stand in his way of victory last night, especially when at risk for a third straight loss. When Kobe missed his first 4 shots, his groin strain appeared to be interfering with his shooting abilities. However, Kobe claims, "I felt good. My groin wasn't really hindering me. I was able to bounce, move around like I normally do." He proved this by going on to successfully sink 40 points, making this his 100th 40-point game. He only has 2 hurdles to overcome on his way to a record: Wilt Chamberlain (271) and Michael Jordan (173).

Speaking of Laker injuries; what’s going on with Pau Gasol since his hamstring debacle? According to Lakers coach, Phil Jackson, we might see him hit the court tomorrow night (depending how he’s feeling of course). And poor Luke Walton will miss 6 weeks (minimum) due to a pinched nerve in his back (ouch!). But for now, Kobe’s groin injury will not be hindering the Lakers’ chance for another triumphant season!

I personally don't like Kobe but that's still really impressive.
